Yes Hilly, some people have short memories & are also easily conned - does this sound familiar? (Reminds me of the orange fat man running the USA now).

Short memories yes, but not *that* short.

    What Hilly said.

Had a look at a new FXDR today, what was HD thinking with this bike. Its not a tourer, not a racer, what is it supposed to be? The styling is well....different. I have no doubt that the motor is strong after riding a fat boy with the same motor. The bike was sitting in pole position at the front door and during the hour or so i was there i was the only person to look at the bike, others walked straight past.

Saw it on Sat morning, left and was still thinking wtf was it lol.

Maybe it's trying to compete with the X diavel?

If that's the case it's goin to lose.

Must admit it did look better in the flesh than the pics I've seen though,

maybe get rid of that mudguard/plate holder thing on the back, might make it look a little better.

Well if HD think thats a competitor to a Ducati Diavel they are smoking crack! Granted it may look the same.

My real point is this, Hd claim to want to bring out so many different models , flat trackers adventure bikes etc and yet they introduce a bike like this as their first new wave of getting back the market share? If its the younger generation they are appealing to they are all tech savy and the opposition bike/s , we are thinking Diavel here, have traction control, cornering ABS, 3 stage ride mode etc and HD does not . A X Diavel costs $8500 less and the x Diavel S some $3500 less. That's a lot of rear tyres and fuel !
If HD dont up their electronics game, they aint going to be in the game

yeah.  Went to the dealer to get some oil on Saturday and wondered at the crowd. until I realised it was the unveiling of the 2019 range.

I thought some bloke was going to get in serious chit cause he had parked a Jappa street bike in the showroom, but its turns out its the new FXDR 114.  Man that's one butt ugly bike - they actually need to start sharing the drugs they are on so that the rest of humankind can understand what they are thinking.

I pity the poor buggers who buy one as they will fall into the unloved middle ground of not riding a Harley and trying to ride a Jappa clone.  Bloody average horsepower specs as well, make that thing an expensive 'something'.

    The Ducati looks better IMO
    Has a lot more horsepower
Weighs a hell of a lot less
    And is cheaper

I know which one I would buy, and it doesn't have HD on the side.

Including the added feature that it would probably kill me.
Easy bike to confuse your ambition and ability on.

A mate bought one recently, think he regrets it already.
Guess it’s better than a Gopher on Rabbit setting.
