anyone using hand guards for wind protection ?
if so, what brand ? where to buy ? any issues etc ?
looking at MEM7217, unsure if they'll fit my CVO Springer 2008.
    thanks
oh, not after heated gloves, or bars.

I ended up putting heated grips on my Springer - waited until Frasers (local stealer) had a 40% sale. Best $350 (including fitting by my own mechanic) I have spent on it.
Those MEM7217's look like they would fit ok and the price is right

they do help, you may not be able to fit them if you running a drag bar & low riser set up like a stock fat bob or stock wide glide.
the turn signal mounts push the turn signals to the side so they don't hit tank on left and right lock. you need turn signal mounts like off a street bob

Back in the early 80s, I was working as a motorcycle courier in Melbourne. We were using "Bar Muffs" from memory. They were a big fur lined plastic or leather Mitten velcroed to our handlebars, They were ugly as sin, fairly inexpensive and mostly effective. They were big enough to easily swallow a winter lined heavy glove.

Following....Let us know what you decide upon as the colder mornings here in Melbourne mean I have dusted off the windscreen and think thermals.  Just need something to keep the fingers warm (and I cannot run heated grips du to no room in the bars to run anymore cables AND they are too expensive.)

I did a bit of research on Motorcycle Mitts / Muffs (yeah I know) and they seem the go (from a warmth perspective) but could just not bring myself to put them on a Harley

Thermal glove liners are lightweight and work a treat on those cold days

MEB7219 is the correct part # i've been told.
about $150 delivered to my door from the states.
    tried glove liners, no good
    heated grips, about $500, installed

I just went out and bought some new gloves yesterday as the 4 degree mornings are getting a little cold on the fingers when you get rolling.

Damned if I didn't overheat this morning and had to unzip the jacket to cool down - even though its was still only 5 degrees out.  Nice warm fingers after 45mins rideing is a winner for me.

Anything can be adapted...  Surely its just the mounting kit that's different from bike to bike.  A bit of stainless angle and a grinder and your fine.

What about heated gloves?  about $250-$300 so a happy median.
