It was a joke (or attempt at one) beagle, you're posting pics of black Harleys in the White Harleys only thread.
Actually the whole thread is a joke , I thought it was funny at he time I put it in there, After i sobered up I had a rethink. I like all of em, however i still like my white one. In particular the Glacier white with blue pearl that jumps out in the light. Each to their own.
I kind of figured that seeing almost everyone owns black Harleys, white looks great but they're not the easiest to keep clean.

That was the design brief back in late 2005 when these "35th Anniversary " Dyna Superglides came out.
Mine was to be a "keeper" as very very few came to Australia. Frasers Perth , biggest HD outlet in the country back then , only got 2 !
Many more arrived as "grey imports" ex-US as used bikes from 2011 onwards , tho' that has dropped right off now.
My "75 year old priest driving a manual Nissan Pulsar with an NSW AUTO licence" story put paid to that !
Why did more of these "special" and factory custom bikes and CVO models come after grey imports were allowed ?
Well if you were in the states on a buying mission it made sound sense to buy up these types of bikes , not run of the mill models.
Same shipping cost to Australia , same "compliancing" costs here in Australia and a "better" bike for resale here.
My current bike is a "Grey import" 2008 CVO Springer from Texas in 2011. $58,000 new here in Perth in 2008 !
Far more CVO Springers are resident here in Australia now as a result. I would say 75% plus of CVO Springers are ex-US used bikes.
The Perth importer/compliancer has brought over some real peaches of bikes ( every single bike has been a beauty bar none)
He hand picks every bike and personally views each while over in the US. Some other importers bought and brought complete DOGS !
